Nursultan Nazarbayev International is Kazakhstan's capital airport, about 17 km southeast of central Astana. It is a major hub for Air Astana and FlyArystan and the country's diplomatic gateway, with services from Lufthansa, Turkish Airlines, Air China and Etihad. The airport changed IATA code from TSE to NQZ in 2020 and handles around 6 million passengers a year.
