Almaty International is Kazakhstan's busiest airport, sitting about 15 km northeast of the city centre near the Tian Shan foothills. It is the main hub for Air Astana and FlyArystan and a key Central Asian gateway, with services to Istanbul, Dubai, Frankfurt, Seoul and Beijing alongside dense domestic and CIS networks. SCAT and several Russian carriers also operate from ALA.
