Juan Mendoza International is the regional airport for Oruro on Bolivia's high-altitude altiplano, sitting at roughly 3,702 m elevation a few kilometres from the city centre. Commercial scheduled service is limited and intermittent, with most travellers reaching Oruro by road from La Paz. The airport mainly handles charters, government and occasional regional turboprop operations.
