Al Maktoum International, also known as Dubai World Central, sits about 35 km southwest of central Dubai near Jebel Ali. It currently handles a limited passenger schedule dominated by Wizz Air low-cost flights to Eastern Europe and ad-hoc charter operations, with cargo as the main business. A multi-decade expansion plan will eventually relocate all Emirates and flydubai operations here from DXB.
