It is a secondary UAE airport with a modest schedule centred on Air Arabia and seasonal Gulf-region operators, plus periodic charter and pilgrimage traffic. Most international travellers serving Al Ain still route via Abu Dhabi (AUH) or Dubai (DXB), roughly 90-150 km away by road.
