Moscow's newest airport, southeast of the city
Zhukovsky is the newest of Moscow's four civil airports, opened to scheduled traffic in 2016 and located about 36 km southeast of the city centre. It shares its runway with the legacy Gromov Flight Research Institute. Traffic is dominated by Central Asian routes, with Uzbekistan Airways, Air Manas, Belavia and other regional carriers operating from the single terminal.
