Privately built regional airport on the Darling Downs
Toowoomba Wellcamp Airport sits about 17 km west of central Toowoomba on the Darling Downs in southern Queensland and was the first privately built and owned public airport in Australia. Qantas and Bonza in past seasons have run scheduled passenger flights, mostly to Sydney, Melbourne and Cairns. The airport has also been used for international cargo flights.
