Sydney's new second airport at Badgerys Creek
Western Sydney International Airport, branded Nancy-Bird Walton Airport, is being built at Badgerys Creek roughly 50 km west of the Sydney CBD. It's Sydney's second airport and is designed to handle 24-hour operations without the curfew restrictions of Kingsford Smith. Initial passenger services are scheduled to begin from late 2026, with Qantas, Jetstar and other major Australian operators planning launch routes.
