Rize-Artvin Airport sits on a man-made island off the Black Sea coast and serves both Rize and Artvin provinces in northeastern Turkey. Built to replace nearby Erzurum and Trabzon as the closest gateway to the eastern Black Sea tea country and Kaçkar Mountains, it is operated mainly by Turkish Airlines and AnadoluJet on domestic routes.
