Manuel Carlos Piar International serves Ciudad Guayana, also called Puerto Ordaz, in Bolívar state on the Orinoco River. The airport sits about five kilometres south of central Puerto Ordaz and acts as the main gateway to Venezuela's southeastern industrial belt and the gateway towards Canaima National Park.
