Pago Pago International, also called Tafuna Airport, lies about 11 km southwest of Pago Pago on Tutuila island. It is American Samoa's sole international gateway, with Hawaiian Airlines flying twice-weekly to Honolulu and Talofa Airways and Samoa Airways connecting Apia in neighboring Samoa. Traffic is modest but the route to Hawaii is the territory's main link to the US mainland.
