Annapurna trekking gateway in Nepal's lake city
Pokhara International opened in January 2023 as Nepal's third international airport, replacing the older Pokhara domestic strip. It sits about 3 km east of Phewa Lake and central Pokhara, the launch point for Annapurna Circuit and Poon Hill treks. International scheduled service has been limited so far, with most traffic still domestic on Buddha Air and Yeti Airlines feeding from Kathmandu.
Major carriers: Buddha Air, Yeti Airlines, Nepal Airlines, Shree Airlines.
