Russia's most isolated city airport, above 69 north
Alykel serves Norilsk, the world's northernmost city of over 100,000 people, located in Krasnoyarsk Krai. The airport sits about 35 km west of the city on the tundra. Norilsk has no road or rail link to the rest of Russia, so air service is essentially the only year-round option. Nordstar Airlines is the dominant operator, with seasonal Aeroflot and other capacity.
Major carriers: Nordstar, Aeroflot, Rossiya, S7 Airlines.
