Hokuriku coast airport serving Kanazawa, Komatsu and the Noto Peninsula
Komatsu Airport sits about 30 km southwest of Kanazawa in Ishikawa Prefecture and shares its runway with the JASDF Komatsu Air Base. ANA and JAL operate the daily Tokyo Haneda and Sapporo trunk routes, with seasonal links to Naha. Despite the Hokuriku Shinkansen extension cutting Tokyo rail times, KMQ remains the primary air gateway for the Hokuriku coast, plus limited international service to Seoul and Taipei.
