Halwara International is a new civil enclave at the Halwara air force station, around 35 km southwest of Ludhiana, intended as a regional airport for the Ludhiana area in Punjab. It is positioned as an alternative to Amritsar and Chandigarh for central Punjab travellers. Scheduled commercial service is limited as operations ramp up, with domestic carriers expected to anchor the initial route map.
