North Korea's main gateway, with very limited international service
Sunan is North Korea's primary international airport, about 24 km north of central Pyongyang. It is the hub for flag carrier Air Koryo, which operates a small fleet on a handful of routes, mostly to China and Russia. Beijing, Shenyang and Vladivostok are the most regularly served destinations, though schedules change frequently and access is heavily restricted for foreign travellers.
Major carriers: Air Koryo.
